JKs (Jesus Kids)

Hello from JKs! We meet every Sunday from 10.30am-11.30am to give praise to God for all He gives to us. We are very small in number at the moment but would love to see new people joining with our activities each week; which include listening to special stories from the bible, painting, chatting to each other. We think that to give one hour of our time each week for learning and having fun, playing games sometimes, is good for us to grow spiritually as well as physically.

Jesus wants to be a part of our lives and we want to pass on His love to others. Come and find out for yourselves, give it a try, see you there!

Doves

The Doves Group meets on Sunday mornings from 10.30am. It is a group for Young People from 11 years old and upwards.

Over the months, we try to provide a balanced range of activities, socials and looking at the Bible. The aim is to have fun whilst at the same time getting to know God, ourselves and each other better. We have even been known to eat the odd biscuit or two!

We meet in a lounge at the Church and, well… lounge! Then when we have finished lounging, we may spring into action.

Crafts, we like. Recently, we have been making mosaic panels of the stained glass windows. We were pretty pleased with the results, but so was everyone else in the congregation. There are a few more panels to go, but that is "work in progress".

We have also become dab hands at raising funds for the local hospice and for a homelessness project. Whilst this may all sound rather worthy, certainly it is worthwhile. It can also be good fun too.

When we look at the Bible, we try to relate it to the world and the issues around us. Anyone can ask any question, but then it is only fair to listen to everyone's answers!

TANGO provides support for family and community life.

We are open every Wednesday at St. David's from 11.30am and have a cafe providing good food at low cost. Tea,coffee and fruit juices are free. We also provide clothing toys and household items at very reasonable prices.
